To recap, here is another example for last week’s topic “Pattern in Photography”.

The topic that we are going to discuss this week is “Texture in Photography”. The dictionary definition of texture is “The distinctive physical composition or structure of something, especially with respect to the size, shape, and arrangement of its parts”. In simple terms, texture of the object/material will expose the granular details of the tiny particles that the object is compose of. In the below image, I have tried to shown the texture of the cloth of different colors.

How do we capture the texture of skins? Any special techniques used/suggested?

Texture of skins or capturing realistic skin tone involves different lightning techniques which I will be covering in the later topics.
